It offers to hospitalized children and adolescents the opportunity to keep their school activities. This is a right assured in law since 90's.However among all the existing hospitals in Brazil, only a small portion offers this type of education. The hospital environment is an appropriate place for the development of educational activities, specially the activities related to science teaching because it can contribute significantly for students understanding about their diseases, their bodies and others elements. It collaborates to children and\or adolescents to reach their proposed curricular goals. The primary objective of this study was to investigate the interpersonal relationships that are established within the hospital, resulting from the presence of the hospital class, and correlate with lived experiences with science teaching. The method used was semi-structured exploratory research field, with application forms for interviews, which were audio-recorded and later transcribed. Graphics have been used to provide greater clarity and understanding of the quantitative results. With respect to qualitative data we chose to use the technique of content analysis. According to effective legislation we assured to keep the privacy of people that took part in the research. According to results was possible to make a profile of the three examined groups – companion, students\patients and health professionals – and report the experiences in the hospital environment making a link between science teaching and its possibilities.
