Since its creation at the University of Chicago, to the present day, we have expanded, evolved and contextualized these concepts, giving rise to new studies and contributions, placing the research in this area as interdisciplinary. The production of this book “INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACHES IN HUMAN ECOLOGY”, becomes a landmark for studies in Human Ecology and Socio-environmental Management, for dealing with the results of some studies over almost ten years of research developed in the Graduate Program in Human Ecology and Social and Environmental Management - PPGEcoH, at the State University of Bahia, Paulo Afonso and Juazeiro - BA campus.
