Health promotion in school is a field of knowledge that involves education and health as teaching-learning tools, aimed at the school community, in order to provide an improvement in the quality of life and health of its stakeholders. The study presented as a general objective to analyze the implications of continued training of Physical Education teachers in health promotion practices in the school environment in the municipality of Sobral-CE. Specifically: understand how Physical Education teachers understand health promotion practices at school; plan a formative intervention for Physical Education teachers in the Sobral state network in health promotion practices at school; carry out a continuous training with physical education teachers of the Sobral state network in the context of health promotion practices at school; evaluate the implications in the pedagogical praxis of Physical Education teachers from the formative intervention performed. The theoretical-methodological path was based on the interpretative paradigm, in a qualitative approach, which had as method the action research. The locus of the investigation was the municipality of Sobral, known for being the largest university center in the interior of Ceará and also for having the best IDEB in Brazil. Thus, the schools selected to compart from the research were the Schools of the State of Sobral. Of these schools, ten teachers participated in the research. Data collection took place in four stages: application of a diagnostic questionnaire, planning time, analysis of the activities developed by physical education teachers during training workshops and conducting individual interviews with study participants. Data analysis, subjective, followed the directions of qualitative research. Ethical aspects were based on the guidelines and norms that regulate research involving human beings, CNS no. 510/2016, supplemented by CNS no. 466/2012. From the first stage, it was observed that the understanding of health of the teachers was more directed to the relationship between health/disease. The second stage was the planning for the continued training of health promotion practices in the school. The third stage, which was considered to have been a significant formative process for the participants, despite all the challenges encountered for its realization, it provided learning and reflections on health at school during the meetings. Weaknesses in this process investigated as the withdrawal of some teachers after enrollment in the course, as well as the little participation of some and others who did not deliver the pedagogical proposal requested, has not diminished the relevance and contributions of this formative process to the object, perhaps it is a fact that favors reflection on the workload and activities already carried out at school by dropout teachers or the lack of interest in the theme of the course. It is concluded that the thesis was confirmed, because continued training for health promotion provides a reflection on practice at school and how it can be expanded and enriched.application/pdfopenAccessFormação ContinuadaEducação FísicaPromoção de Saúde na EscolaFormação ContinuadaEducação FísicaPromoção de Saúde na EscolaEducaçãoFormação continuada de professores para práticas de promoção de saúde na escola em Sobral-CETese
