The question that guided this production was: which psychic and discursive aspects are involved in the contemporary social bond, which implies the philosophical-political option of undergraduate students? As a method, we chose to articulate the concepts: psychosocial processes, as well as Jacques Lacan's conceptions of identification, mirror stage, social bond and other/Other. The results demonstrate that there is an a priori dynamic, resulting from identifications and themirror stage in the parental relationship; a posteriori, the importance of social ties established during the university period becomes evident as preponderant for new identifications of the subject.
