In: Revista Quero Saber, ISSN: 2675-570X, v.1, n.2, 2020, Toledo-PR/BRASIL.2675-570Xhttps://deposita.ibict.br/handle/deposita/200Hunger and food insecurity are current concerns, because they are still a reality for part of the world population. Thus, Food and Nutritional Security emerges as an essential tool in the quest to guarantee a safe food for the population. In this scenario, there is also the Human Right to Adequate Food, which provides access to healthy and dignified food for all. Food and Nutritional Security gains prominence in the fight for the consolidation of the Human Right to Adequate Food and against hunger, as it is necessary so that we can talk about adequate food. Furthermore, over the years, several public policies have emerged in Brazil to reaffirm and confirm the human right to adequate food and food security. However, some food policies have not been consolidated effectively so far, serving a minimal portion of the target audience. Thus, this article intends to expose the relationship between the Human Right to Adequate Food and the Food and Nutritional Security, as well as to briefly elucidate the Brazilian public policies that deal with the subject and analyze their effectiveness. The study is based on the dialectical method, which provides an analysis of food considerations. The technical procedures were based on bibliographic research, using articles and legislation.application/pdfopenAccessAcesso à alimentaçãoAccess to foodSegurança alimentarPolíticas públicasDireitos humanosFood securityPublic policyHuman rightsDireitos HumanosO direito humano à alimentação adequada e à segurança alimentar e nutricional no contexto das políticas alimentares brasileirasThe human right to adequate food and food and nutritional security in the context of brazilian food policiesArtigo
