Villefort, Maria CristinaOliveira, Gabriela2024-02-092023https://deposita.ibict.br/handle/deposita/492The objective of this work is to reflect on the relationship between Type and Crisis, from the point of view of the Italian School of Urban Morphology, having the Belvedere neighborhood, in the city of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais/Brazil, as case study. The aim is to expand understanding of this important conceptual link, which can greatly contribute to the actions of designing and dwell. Although scholars, such as Karl Kropf (2006), have called attention to the dimension of the crisis as part of the typological process, to this reflection adopts the understanding of the term as the predominance of Critical Consciousness about Spontaneous Consciousness. It is also permitted to understanding, according to Cataldi, Maffei and Vaccaro (2002), when the materialization of the Type occurs in a relationship of imbalance with the territory that houses it. In this context, the Belvedere neighborhood is identified as an example of the dimension of the crisis in the concept of Type, as this arises the influence of the speculative appeals of the real estate market, which do not he balanced spontaneous and critical values in his constructive acts. Forto support the reflection, we resorted to studies linked to the Italian School, research related to the Belvedere, reports and newspaper articles from the city of Belo Horizonte and analysis of property plans in the region in questionapplication/pdfopenAccessTipoEscola Italiana de Morfologia UrbanaConsciência EspontâneaConsciência CríticaCriseBairro BelvedereArquitetura e UrbanismoTipo e crise: o caso do bairro Belvedere na cidade de Belo HorizonteType and crisis: the case of the Belvedere neighborhood in the city from Belo HorizonteArtigo de evento
