| Abstract | From the idea that it is necessary to break with the environmental injustice that is structured in the exploitation of people and the planet, the objective of this work is to analyze the Green New Deal from an intersectional study between the proposals of the document and the 04 pillars of the radical environmental justice in Benjaminsen and Svarstad (2020) –(1) Distributive justice; (2) Recognition; (3) Procedural Justice and (4) Capabilities. The Green New Deal is a climate transition project based on the Keynesian logic of the State as the main actor in promoting economic and social development, in this case, the development of sustainable infrastructure, the creation of clean jobs, the promotion of environmental justice and the fight against to the global climate crisis. The research question is: “What is the role of the Green New Deal in the field of Environmental Justice Studies?”. The methodology will be carried out from a theoretical investigation within Green Theory and Critical Ecopolitics in a comparative analysis of theory-project in the idea of applied theory in Barry (2014). The hypothesis is that despite the limits of a reformist project, the Green New Deal is inserted as an advance within theEnvironmental Justicedebates, and shows itself as the tip of a movement that passes through the project, but goes beyond it. | eng |

| Resumo | A partir da ideia de que é preciso romper com a injustiça ambiental que está estruturada na exploração das pessoas e do planeta, o objetivo desse trabalho é analisar o Green New Deal a partir de um estudo interseccional entre as propostas do documento e os04 pilares da justiça ambiental radical em Benjaminsen e Svarstad (2020) –(1) Justiça distributiva; (2) Reconhecimento; (3) Justiça Processual e (4) Capacidades. O Green New Deal é um projeto de transição climática baseado na lógica Keynesiana do Estado como ator principal na promoção do desenvolvimento econômico e social, nesse caso, no desenvolvimento de infraestrutura sustentável, na criação de empregos limpos, na promoção de justiça ambiental e no combate à crise climática global. A pergunta de pesquisa é: “Qual o papel do Green New Deal no campo de estudos sobre Justiça Ambiental?”. A metodologia será executada a partir de uma investigação teórica dentro da Teoria Verde e da Ecopolítica Crítica em uma análise comparativa teoria-projeto na ideia de teoria aplicada em Barry (2014). A hipótese é de que apesar dos limites de um projeto reformista, o Green New Deal se insere como um avanço dentro dos debates da Justiça Ambiental, e se mostra como a ponta de um movimento que passa pelo projeto, mas vai além dele. | por |
